Gary Gray, D.O.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Gary Gray is the Chief Executive Officer at the Natividad Medical Center (NMC). His previous roles at NMC were Chief of Medical Staff and Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and was formerly Assistant Professor and Director of Pre-Doctoral Education for the Department of Family Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa and completed a residency and internship in Family Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Dr. Gray was previously a staff physician at the former Fort Ord and in private practice in Denver, Colorado.


Craig A. Walls, MD, Ph.D

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Craig A. Walls is the Chief Medical Officer at Natividad Medical Center. Prior to his current role, he served in several roles at NMC since 2006 including Medical Director of the Emergency Department over a six-year period, attending Emergency Physician for four-years, and Vice-Chief of the Medical Staff for two years. Dr. Walls has worked as an emergency physician at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA, MacNeal Hospital in Chicago, IL, and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, IN. His experience in academia includes teaching and research while serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and Visiting Assistant Professor of Community Health at the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL.  He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a medical degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL., and a Ph.D.in Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL. Dr. Walls is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Walls is a member of the Monterey County Medical Society Board of Directors and the Natividad Medical Foundation Board of Directors.


Daniel Leon

Daniel Leon

Chief Financial Officer

Daniel Leon, a senior financial management expert with more than 20 years of experience in the health care sector, is chief financial officer for Natividad Medical Center. Mr. Leon is responsible for all the Medical Center’s financial services, including strategic financial and capital planning, procurement and supply management, revenue cycle programs for physicians and hospital, debt management, rate setting and reimbursement, and financial planning.

Prior to joining Natividad Medical Center, Mr. Leon served as chief financial officer for for-profit hospitals and non-for-profit hospitals. Mr. Leon has also served as the financial and operations executive for a comprehensive oncology health system and successfully lead a financial turnaround for a stand-alone hospital.
 


Ari Entin

Ari Entin

Chief Information Officer

Ari Entin is the hospital’s Chief Information Officer. He comes to NMC with 20 years of healthcare IT leadership experience in areas of public health and disease management. Prior to joining NMC, Mr. Entin led the IT efforts of the Miami-Dade County Health Department as well as Quality Oncology in Sunrise, Florida. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Florida International University’s College of Business Administration- Master of Health Informatics Management program and Barry University’s Master of Health Services Administration program. Mr. Entin has earned both his Bachelor and Master degree in Health Service Administration from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.


Nancy Buscher

Chief Nursing Officer

A native of Michigan, Buscher received her doctorate in Nursing Leadership from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. She also received a master's degree in Nursing Administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Prior to Natividad, Buscher served for thirteen years as CNO/Vice President of Patient Care at Three Rivers Health in Three Rivers, Michigan. She was Interim Director of Telemetry and IMCU at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and Interim Director of multiple units at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California. Buscher was also a member of the Adjunct Faculty in the Doctorate of Healthcare Administration at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona for almost five years.


Andrea Rosenberg

Assistant Administrator, Operations & Support Services

Andrea Rosenberg is the Assistant Administrator for Operations and Support Services after serving in various leadership roles at the Hospital since 2004. Prior to joining NMC’s staff, Ms. Rosenberg filled key administrative leadership roles for The Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston as well as Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas.

Ms. Rosenberg earned both a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.


Carol Adams

Assistant Administrator for Planning & Business Development

Carol Adams served as Vice President at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz for nearly twenty years before coming to Natividad Medical Center as the Assistant Administrator for Planning & Business Development. Prior to her employment at Dominican, Ms. Adams worked as an Assistant Administrator at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA, and as Marketing Manager at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Ms. Adams earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Public Health in Health Services Administration from UCLA.


Janine Bouyea

Janine Bouyea

Hospital Human Resources Administrator

Janine Bouyea is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources Department, Hospital Education, Employee Health and oversight of the Volunteer Auxiliary. She began her career with the County of Monterey in the Human Resources Department of the County Administrative Office. She then transferred to Natividad Medical Center to take on the role of Personnel Analyst were she quickly moved on to the position of Associate Personnel Analyst before being promoted to her current role as Hospital Human Resources Administrator.

She earned a Master of Arts in Human Resources from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University.
