Marc Tunzi, MD, Assistant Family Medicine
Residency Director was appointed Chief of Staff at Natividad Medical
Center beginning July1, 2006 through Jul 1, 2008. Dr. Tunzi replaces
Dr. John Jameson who previously held the position. The Chief of
staff position is by majority vote of the medical center medical
staff every two years.
Dr. Tunzi, a native of Spreckles,
received his medical degree from the University of California at
San Diego School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency
in 1987 at Valley Medical Center in Fresno. He spent the following
six years with Indian Health Services in Montana and Migrant Health
Services in Idaho before joining the faculty staff of the Natividad
Family Medicine Residency Program in 1993. Dr. Tunzi was Director
of the Residency Program from 2000-2005 and currently serves as
Assistant Director.
Dr. Tunzi holds a clinical professorship
with the Family and Community Medicine Department at UCSF School
of Medicine.
Dr. Tunzi was honored with a KSBW
2005 Jefferson Award for providing nine years of medical care
to the Green Gold Inn Medical Clinic in Salinas.
