Natividad Diabetes Teen Support Group Back to School Event

Saturday, September 9th, Natividad Medical Center will host a Back to School Event for the Diabetes Teen Support Group. The event will be held from 12 Noon – 3:00 pm in the Natividad Conference Room and the outdoor courtyard area located in the Barnet J Segal Building # 200, 1441 Constitution Blvd. Salinas.
 
Latino 5 A Day will also be participating as well as contributing some of the many prizes to be awarded that day for the winners of games and interactive exhibits on healthy living. Healthy light refreshments will be provided by Piranha Produce.

Adding to the fun will be face painting and a magic show by Award Winning Magic. There will be door prizes for everyone and special prizes for the first 15 people who arrive.

Natividad offers ongoing Diabetes Support Groups. Adult Spanish Language Support group for all types of diabetes meets at 6 pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month; Adult English Language Support group for all types of diabetes meets at 7 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

The Teen Support Group meets for fun and activities on the second Saturday of each month. Future activities include kayaking, barbecue and movie day. Teens aged 12-18 are welcome to join, and do not need to have diabetes. We focus on healthy living skills that everyone needs to know.
