Dr. Valerie Barnes, Natividad Chief of Pediatrics to serve second three-year term as California Medical Association Trustee

Dr. Valerie Barnes, Chief of Pediatrics at Natividad Medical Center has been voted by the California Medical Association (CMA) District VII to serve a second three-year term as Trustee on the Board of CMA.

Dr. Barnes will be representing the physicians in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties. District VII consists of Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito County Medical Societies.

Dr. Barnes has been an active member in the Monterey County Medical Society since 1994 and has served as Treasurer, President and in 2000-2001 was voted Physician of the Year.

Dr. Barnes is founder of the Sally P. Archer Child Advocacy Center & Bates- Eldredge Child Sexual Abuse Screening Clinic at Natividad Medical Center.
