Flu Guidelines for Hospital Visitors

Keeping you and your loved ones safe is our top priority.

For your safety and the safety of our patients, we have implemented the following guidelines:

  • Anyone who is sick with flu-like symptoms** should not visit patients in the hospital or Emergency Department.
  • Visitors under the age of 14 are restricted from inpatient areas, but may be permitted for limited visitation in special circumstances.
  • Limit of two visitors in patient rooms/Emergency Department. This applies even when the visitors are well, but it does not apply to patients in end-of-life situations.
  • To help stop the spread of germs, please remember:
  • If you arrive as a patient and have flu-like symptoms**, please ask for a mask and wear it.
  • Visitors are asked to wash their hands before entering a patient room and upon leaving the room. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the hospital in convenient dispensers.

Please help us reduce the risk of spreading Seasonal Flu and other Viral Illnesses to protect yourself and protect our patients.

* Guidelines based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Recommendations
**Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, Fatigue, Nausea, Vomiting, or Diarrhea
