Becoming a Patient

When a patient arrives at Sam Karas Acute Rehabilitation Center, they have already taken an important step toward recovery. Though the road to recovery can sometimes feel overwhelming, our compassionate and highly trained staff is ready to help you every step of the way. Acute rehabilitation is the highest level of rehab available. Each patient is screened using Medicare criteria to determine acceptance to the program.

Patients can be referred from home, from a hospital, or from another facility.

Internationally Accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF). Natividad is the only hospital in the area that is CARF-Accredited for Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs Hospital: Stroke Specialty Programs (Adults).
