CHOICE Program
The CHOICE team provides services for victims of gunshot wounds, stabbings and beatings for those aged 13-30, meeting patients at their bedsides to provide support and advocacy.
Emergency Services
For medical emergencies, our emergency specialists are available 24 hours a day for everything from general illnesses and disease to life-threatening conditions. The 18-bed emergency department is staffed with emergency room physicians, physician assistants, and specially trained registered nurses and technicians. Natividad is the only hospital in the Salinas area with a licensed heliport on site for helicopter transport.

One of the programs we are most proud of is our CHOICE Program. Through this program, we work to prevent violence in our community. We provide support and advocacy to victims of violence, with the goal of guiding the patient to a safe and positive future.

About the Level II Trauma Center
Natividad is home to Monterey County’s only Trauma Center. We provide excellent, life-saving care to all patients, and offer a full range of services.
Natividad has ten intensive care beds, a step-down unit and a medical-surgical unit, all staffed by educated and competent nurses specially trained in the care of trauma patients. We provide multidisciplinary patient-centered care, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Our trauma team includes a group of trauma surgeons double boarded in critical care and general acute care surgery, and trauma nurse practitioners. Natividad offers patients outstanding specialty services, including but not limited to:

- Acute Rehab Services
