Natividad is proud to offer expert care with a full range of services to women, babies, and their families. We know each womanâs experience is very unique. We work with each woman and her family to make a plan for her care that meets her needs and choices. We provide education and support resources every step of the way, so women and their families can best make the decisions that are right for them.
About Our Services
Natividadâs Women & Childrenâs Services include prenatal care, maternity and newborn services and education, labor and delivery, postpartum care, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and pediatrics. We provide high-quality, personalized care to women, their babies, and their families throughout all our services. Fathers and significant others are always included in our family-centered care. We work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes, and to make sure you have a great experience.
We offer beautiful, private labor and delivery and recovery rooms. Each delivery is attended by a doctor, labor nurse, and baby nurse. All infants receive routine blood, bilirubin, hearing and cardiac screenings before being released to go home.
Natividad was the first facility in Monterey County to offer the option of a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
Every Baby Born at Natividad Gets 400 Free Diapers
Natividad is one of the first hospitals in the state to partner with the State of Californiaâs Golden Gate Start program.
Starting July 13, 2026, every baby born at Natividad gets free Baby2Baby diapers.
- When patients leave the hospital, theyâll get 400 diapers for their baby!
- Our staff brings diapers to the patientâs room when theyâre ready to go home.
- All moms who deliver July 13, 2026 or later at our hospital qualify for free diapers for their newborns.
- Nothing! They wonât need to fill out any paperwork or forms. There are no income limits.

Pediatric Department
Our Pediatrics Department is California Childrenâs Services certified and offers a full range of services for children facing a variety of medical and surgical problems. There are pediatricians in-house 24/7 to care for patients in the ED, Pediatrics and Maternity units. The nurses in the Pediatric unit are specially trained to provide care to the varying pediatric populations we care for.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Our Level III NICU is California Childrenâs Services certified and provides expert care to our tiniest patients. The Neonatologists work closely with UCSF to manage the sickest babies safely. Our strong commitment to family, as part of the healing process, keeps parents and their children united throughout the treatment and recovery process.

Breastfeeding Support
As a Baby-Friendly Hospital, we support breastfeeding and offer the best level of support and care to breastfeeding mothers, whatever your breastfeeding goals may be. Our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants care for inpatients and outpatients seven days a week to ensure those who want to breastfeed will be successful.
