Welcoming a new member of your family is a one of the most beautiful parts of life. Throughout your pregnancy, on the day your baby is born, and in the months following your baby’s arrival, Natividad is here to support and encourage you.
Natividad is proud to offer expert care with a full range of services to women, babies, and their families. We know each woman’s experience is very unique. We work with each woman and her family to make a plan for her care that meets her needs and choices. We provide education and support resources every step of the way, so women and their families can best make the decisions that are right for them.
About Our Services
Natividad’s Women & Children’s Services include prenatal care, maternity and newborn services and education, labor and delivery, postpartum care, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and pediatrics. We provide high-quality, personalized care to women, their babies, and their families throughout all our services. Fathers and significant others are always included in our family-centered care. We work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes, and to make sure you have a great experience.
We offer beautiful, private labor and delivery and recovery rooms. Each delivery is attended by a doctor, labor nurse, and baby nurse. All infants receive routine blood, bilirubin, hearing and cardiac screenings before being released to go home.
Natividad was the first facility in Monterey County to offer the option of a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).

Natividad Maternity Tours
Expectant parents are invited to join us for a guided tour every Thursday at 5:30 pm. Meet us in the hospital’s main lobby, across from Admitting. During the tour, a representative from Women & Children’s Services will discuss the maternity services offered at Natividad. You will visit our Labor & Delivery Department, Postpartum Unit and Lactation Services. No appointment is needed for tours. For more information, call (831) 755-6226.

Our Pediatrics Department is California Children’s Services certified and offers a full range of services for children facing a variety of medical and surgical problems. There are pediatricians in-house 24/7 to care for patients in the ED, Pediatrics and Maternity units. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Our Level III NICU is California Children’s Services certified and provides expert care to our tiniest patients. The Neonatologists work closely with UCSF to manage the sickest babies safely.
