Our nationally recognized Family Medicine Residency Program—led by Dr. Melissa Nothnagle, voted Best Residency Director in the Nation—offers rigorous, community-centered training that prepares physicians to excel in diverse clinical settings. We are proud that half of our graduates choose to remain in Monterey County, strengthening access to primary care throughout the region. Natividad also offers a Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship and medical student clerkships through UCSF and Touro University, creating a dynamic learning environment that attracts trainees from around the world.

Natividad is consistently honored for excellence in patient safety and clinical outcomes, earning a Leapfrog Grade A, the prestigious Gage Award, and national distinction through the American College of Surgeons NSQIP program for outstanding surgical quality.
