SALINAS, CA  – July 24, 2013 – America’s Essential Hospitals (formerly the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems) has announced its 2013 Larry Gage Awards for quality-of-care improvements.

Natividad Medical Center is one of six hospitals nationally recognized out of a group of 86 public hospitals whose improvement efforts were evaluated across America for exceptional and essential work to improve quality and population health.

The award, named after the founder of the national public hospital organization, focuses on programs that improve the quality of patient care and solve unmet community needs.
