Natividad’s Spiritual Care Advisors are here to listen, talk and be a beacon of compassion through life’s changes and transitions during your hospitalization.

Support & Guidance

The Spiritual Care Program at Natividad is dedicated to meeting the unique spiritual needs of children, adults, and families, while honoring your faith, culture and belief traditions. Our Spiritual Care Advisors are here to help you explore and address spiritual needs or concerns that may arise during your hospital stay. We are committed to respecting and supporting you along your journey, and helping you find comfort, hope and strength.

Your Spiritual Care Advisor

Being sick or injured can be frightening and emotionally draining for a patient or their family. In addition to medical care, Natividad makes emotional and spiritual care available for you and your loved ones. Your Spiritual Care Advisor is trained professional who can to listen, comfort and help you draw upon your inner spiritual strength. Our Advisors respect your religious or non-religious traditions and personal preferences. Whatever your denomination, their role is to support, not to influence. We also encourage the involvement of your home clergy while at Natividad. (Some visitor restrictions may apply.)

Our Spiritual Care Program Offers:

  • A Meditation Room/Chapel on Level 3 A Labyrinth (guided walks available) on Level 1
  • Spiritual Care Advisors are assigned to each hospital unit and available to visit patients and their families
  • Assistance to patients, families and hospital staff
  • Copies of scriptures and holy writings as needed
  • Literature to assist in supporting your faith, coping strategies or spiritual practices as requested
  • Referrals to local faith communities and leaders
  • Support to Palliative Care, Hospice and Bioethics Committee
