Nursing Support Services

The Nursing Education Department at Natividad is comprised of a diverse and collaborative team with varying specialties and interests. The department has an accredited Simulation Center with sophisticated high-fidelity manikins and incorporation of innovative, cutting-edge technology to create an immersive learning environment that closely resembles clinical practice.

Our Nursing Education Department provides new graduate registered nurse training programs, professional development courses for continuing education (CE) credit, and life safety courses.

Student clinical experiences in nursing and all other healthcare-related internships are coordinated through the Nursing Education Department. The department has affiliations with several universities and colleges to support growth and professional development.

Natividad offers comprehensive wound care services throughout various clinical areas of the hospital. Wound management includes, but is not limited to, surgical wounds, trauma wounds, pressure injuries, and chronic wounds of other types.

Natividad’s Mental Health Unit (MHU) focuses on treating and managing acute mental illness for individuals with depression, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia. This acute inpatient unit is a aocked unit that provides safe care for patients with support of a full
interdisciplinary team.
